  • What is Paris Games Week?

    The Paris Games Week, more commonly known as "PGW", is the French trade show dedicated to video games and their related products. The event belongs to the Syndicat des Editeurs de Logiciels de Loisirs (SELL).

    The 2024 edition will be held at Paris Porte de Versailles.

  • Can I leave the salon and come back later?
    If you leave the salon, you will not be allowed to return. Any exit is final.
  • Is there an emergency number in case of a problem?
    We will get back to you as soon as possible.

  • Is there free WIFI on the show?
    Yes, you will have free access to Viparis' WIFI on the show floor.
  • Is there a locker room where I can leave my things?

    There are fee-paying changing rooms

    • Large suitcases and bags are prohibited (capacity greater than 20 litres or exceeding 40cm*20cm*25cm).
  • Is there an official PGW shop?
    Yes, we are currently working on a boutique offer for the 2024 edition.
  • Am I allowed to have a stabilizer on the show?
    The use of stabilizers is prohibited within the exhibition.
  • Is there a smoking area?
    There is no smoking area inside. You will have to leave the hall to smoke. Areas will be set aside for this purpose. Please do not leave the show, as all exits are final.
  • Are pets allowed inside the salon?
    Animals are not allowed inside the exhibition except guide dogs.
  • What is the average waiting time to access the stands?
    It depends on the stand, it can vary.

    Merchandising stands will be present at the show where you can purchase products. For any other booth, you will have to ask the exhibitor.
  • Is it possible to have lunch inside the lounge?

    You can bring your own lunch, or take advantage of the catering services offered by the show, which will be announced shortly for the 2024 edition.

    Please note: alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

  • Can we bring a camera to film?
    Yes but be careful, tripods and stabilizers are not allowed.
  • Can we take pictures or videos?
    You can take pictures and/or videos. However, we ask you to respect people or exhibitors who do not wish to be photographed or videoed.
  • Are we likely to be photographed or videotaped at the show?

    The official photographer of the Paris Games Week as well as video shooting teams will be present during the 5 days of the show. It is therefore possible that you will be photographed or videoed. Please refer to the Paris Games Week Online Ticketing Terms and Conditions:

    "IMAGE RIGHTS

    The Customer expressly authorizes the Company and the COMEXPOSIUM Group, free of charge, to to produce, if he/she so wishes, photos and/or films representing him/her as a visitor at the Show or at events organized on the occasion of the Show; to freely use these images on all media, particularly advertising media (including the Internet), in France and abroad, for a period of five years from the date of validation of the pre-registration request. Any Client who does not wish to be represented in photographs and/or films taken during the Exhibition must give prior written notice to the Company before the opening of the Exhibition or inform the photographer.

    Furthermore, the Client who wishes to take photographs of the Exhibition must inform the Company in writing beforehand. In this respect, the Client shall be personally responsible for obtaining the necessary authorizations for taking photographs during the Exhibition and shall be solely responsible for respecting the image rights enjoyed by each exhibitor, visitor and participant in the Exhibition."

  • What should I do if something I own is lost or stolen?
    You can go to the "Exhibitor Reception / General Commissariat" area. Lost and found items will be returned there. After the show, all lost and found items that have not been recovered by their owners will be transferred to the Lost and Found Department of the Police Headquarters of the 15th arrondissement.
  • What items are not allowed at the show?
    • Weapons and pyrotechnics: Knives, Pyrotechnics, Explosive devices and Firearms.
    • Demonstration equipment: Megaphones, Drums, Banners, Slogan leaflets and posters, Slogan placards, Slogan flags, Slogan T-shirts and Slogan scarves.
    • Tools and Equipment: Screwdrivers, Saws, Hammers, Cutters, Chains, Ropes and Lanyards, Rope Ladders, Coarse Tape, Pencil Rod and Drills.
    • Consumables: Alcoholic beverages, Glass bottles, Narcotics, Flammable substances, Aerosols, Candles.
    • Personal protective equipment: Motorcycle helmet, Personal moving devices, motorized or not.

  • Can I enter the salon with a stroller?
    Yes, you will be able to enter the salon with a stroller.
  • How late can I get to Paris Games Week?

    You can visit the show until 6.15pm every day from October 23 to October 27.

    After this time, it will no longer be possible to visit the show.

  • Are there changing rooms or lockers on site?
    You will find lockers and vests at the Cosplay village.

  • What are the different rates?

    There are 2 rates. Full price & Reduced price.

    Any child aged 6 and under can enter the show free of charge, but you will be asked to show proof of identity.

    The reduced rate includes anyone between 7 and 17 years old and students.

  • The use of stabilizers is prohibited within the exhibition.
    Tickets are valid for one person, and for one day. There are no multi-day tickets or passes.
  • What proof do I need to provide for reduced fare tickets and disability fare tickets?

    For anyone between the ages of 7 and 17, you will be asked to provide proof of identity. For students, you will be asked for proof of schooling (a student card or proof of schooling). Please note that these documents must be valid on the day of your visit to the exhibition.

    For anyone buying a ticket at the 'disabled' rate, you will be asked to show proof of inclusion (CMI) or PMR (Person with Reduced Mobility).

  • Are tickets returnable, exchangeable or refundable?
    Tickets purchased are non-returnable, non-exchangeable and non-refundable, as stipulated in the Paris Games Week Online Ticketing Terms and Conditions of Sale.
  • Can I buy a ticket in my name and give it to the person of my choice?
    It is possible to purchase a ticket and give it to another person. However, we advise you to obtain the name of this person before purchasing the ticket. Please note that if the ticket offered includes a special rate, it will be necessary to justify it at the entrance.
  • Can I resell Paris Games Week tickets?

    The resale of tickets for Paris Games Week is prohibited.

    "Art. 313-6-2 of the Penal Code - The fact of selling, offering for sale or exhibiting for sale or transfer or providing the means

    with a view to the sale or transfer of admission tickets to a sporting, cultural or commercial event or to a live performance,

    in a usual way and without the authorization of the producer, the organizer or the owner of the rights of exploitation of this demonstration or this spectacle,

    is punishable by a fine of 15 000 €. This penalty is increased to a fine of €30,000 in the event of a repeat offence.

    For the application of the first paragraph, is considered as title of access any ticket, document, message or code, whatever the form and the support,

    attesting to the fact that the right to attend the event or show has been obtained from the producer, organizer or owner of the exploitation rights.

  • Is admission free for people with disabilities?
    People with reduced mobility must pay the entrance fee to the exhibition. A special rate of 16€ for disabled persons is available at the cash desk only.
  • Tickets for Paris Games Week cannot be paid for with vacation vouchers.
    To be validated, the e-ticket must be presented in electronic format (cell phone, tablet...) or printed, without modification of the printing format and in good quality. Partially printed, soiled, damaged or illegible e-tickets will be considered invalid and may be refused by the organizer. Each e-ticket is provided with a barcode allowing only one person to access the event.
  • Can I pay for tickets with vacation vouchers?
    Tickets for Paris Games Week cannot be paid for with vacation vouchers.
  • Wrong date of birth when I bought my ticket.
    The tickets are nominative; it will not be a problem for you to access the show. Proof of identity will be required for those presenting a reduced rate ticket.
  • I have not received my tickets or confirmation of purchase.
    If you have already ordered your tickets, you can retrieve them by going to the ticketing page and entering the email you used to place your order. (Underneath: "BOOK YOUR TICKET FOR PARIS GAMES WEEK"). Please note that you may need to check your spam.
  • Can I get a VIP pass?
    There is no VIP pass
  • I have a disability, does my companion have to pay for his seat?
    No. Your companion is entitled to free admission to the exhibition.

Accessibility

  • Is there dedicated access for people with disabilities?

    A priority access is dedicated to disabled people.

    You can make yourself known to the staff in order to access it.

  • Is there parking for people with disabilities?
    There is no dedicated parking but parking is available in the park's visitor parking lots.
  • Does the fair provide equipment for people with disabilities?

    The exhibition provides chairs for disabled people in hall 1 on presentation of the mobility inclusion card (CMI) or person with reduced mobility (PMR) and on deposit of an identity card as a deposit (attention limited quantities).

  • Are there priority lines on the stands?

    Each exhibitor is independent and reserves the right to give access to visitors to his space according to his priorities. Nevertheless, any person with reduced mobility can make themselves known to the animation teams so that they can try to give them priority.

Accreditation

  • Who can obtain an accreditation?
    Journalists, bloggers and/or anyone who meets the criteria defined by Paris Games Week.
  • How do I get accreditation?
    All you have to do is go to the press area if you are a media professional. The request is subject to moderation & you will be asked to provide proof.
  • What are the requirements for accreditation?
    The prerequisites to obtain an accreditation will be specified at the time of the opening of the platform.
  • Are there any professional accreditations?
    The show is a general public event and not a professional one. Therefore, we do not grant professional accreditations.
  • Can I give my accreditation to another person?

    "The press accreditation is strictly personal and non-transferable. The number of entries is controlled and limited.

    The press service of the exhibition reserves the right to cancel any accreditation in case of abuse.

    Retrocession of a badge exposes you to the offence of illicit sale of access tickets to commercial events (law n°2012-348 of March 12, 2012).

    At the entrance of the exhibition, you will be asked for a valid identity card, in the same name as the accreditation.

    Obtaining a press, blogger or youtuber accreditation is not synonymous with a queue cutter and does not ensure priority access to the stands, this decision being up to each exhibitor."

  • Who do I contact to get permission to do a story?
    Go to the "Press and Influencers" service.
  • How does the accreditation platform work?

    The accreditation platform is available on the website in the press and influencers area. All requests will be validated by the press office within 3 working days.

    Each journalist will be asked to upload a photo ID that will appear on his badge, as controls at the entrance of the show will be reinforced. In addition, all requests will have to be supported by proof of identity.

    At the entrance of the show, you will be asked for a valid ID card, with the same name as the accreditation.

Sales collaboration

  • Do I have the right to organize a contest by offering tickets (even purchased ones) without asking the authorization to PGW?

    No, the Paris Games Week brand and logo belong to the SELL. Any use of the brand or logo must be requested in advance. In the case of the use of Paris Games Week tickets or invitations, this can be considered as the illegal sale of access tickets punished by the Penal Code

  • Sales and solicitation
    Retail sales are strictly limited to official exhibitors with a Paris Games Week booth. In addition, no solicitation is allowed on the show floor, unless expressly agreed upon by the Paris Games Week teams.

Cosplay

  • Can I come in Cosplay at Paris Games Week?
    You are allowed to come in costume.
  • Am I likely to be searched when I arrive with my outfit?
    Am I likely to be searched when I arrive with my outfit?
  • Can I come with a suitcase and/or a large bag?
    For security reasons, access to the lounge with a suitcase and/or large bag is not permitted. You may enter the lounge with a small backpack. There is no locker room. There is a checkroom in hall 1, where you can leave only your jackets, coats and helmets.
  • I have a weapon for my cosplay, can I bring it to Paris Games Week?

    Your weapon must respect the rules of Paris Games Week.

    Forbidden Weapons:

    • Realistic firearms (regardless of material)
    • Possible projectiles
    • Weapons made of metal or metal alloys (aluminum or other) whether sharpened or not Airsoft" type weapons (regardless of material)

    Authorized Weapons :

    • Weapons that do not resemble any known weapon
    • Weapons made of plastic or polymers that do not have sharp edges or corners
    • Weapons made of light wood, plastic, cardboard or foam are allowed.

    You will not be able to enter the show with a dummy weapon that does not comply with safety conditions. We will not be able to keep it.

  • The replica weapon is part of my outfit and remains in its sheath, can I keep it?

    The safety rules on replica weapons apply to all cosplayers, even those with a scabbard for their weapon or a packaging of any kind.

    It is not possible to enter the show grounds with this type of weapon. If you are in possession of a prohibited replica weapon, you will be refused access to the show or you will be asked to deposit your weapon in the free locker specially designed for this purpose, until you leave the show.

Children

  • Can minors participate in the contest at Paris Games Week?

    For minors, certain competitions and games organized by Paris Games Week exhibitors require a signed authorization as well as a copy of the parent's or legal guardian's ID card.

    Authorizations can be downloaded from the exhibitors' websites and/or picked up and signed at the show.

  • Can my child go alone on the show or do I have to accompany him?

    We recommend that you accompany your child to the show and enjoy the video game festival as a family. They can also go in a group, but you must take into consideration that the show is very crowded.

    On the other hand, some booths and games may be refused to your child if he/she is underage or not accompanied by an adult.

  • Can an 8 year old child access all the stands?
    Only the exhibitors are entitled to authorize or not the access to their stand.
  • Is there a device in place in case the children get lost?
    A wristband will be given to the children when they enter the show. A phone number should be included on the wristband. In addition, signs will be posted throughout the fair with the phone number of the reception.

    The Paris Games Week 2022 program is currently under development. We will communicate it to you via the website, social networks and the newsletter as soon as possible.
  • What is the Esports tournament schedule and where can I register?
    In order to register your team, we invite you to contact directly the exhibitors in charge of the organization of the Esports events
  • Do you have a list of youtubers and their dates of presence on the show?
    The list of youtubers present on the show will be communicated via the website, social networks and the newsletter as soon as possible.

Hiring

  • Is it possible to volunteer for Paris Games Week?
    The organizing company of Paris Games Week and the S.E.L.L. do not recruit volunteers for the organization of the show.
  • I would like to apply as a host/hostess, who can I contact?
    The Paris Games Week organizing team no longer has any positions available. However, you can contact the hostess/hostess agencies that work with the show's exhibitors.

    The first condition to exhibit is to have a legal form. Individuals cannot exhibit at the show.
  • What is the difference between a bare stand and an equipped stand?

    From 12 to 24 m², the stands are obligatorily equipped by our care.

    The equipment includes :

    • Aluminum structure
    • Melamine partitions
    • Carpeting (choice between 4 colors)
    • 1 sign with stand number and exhibitor's name
    • 1 lockable corner storage room (Stands = 18 m² : 1 m² - Stands > 18 m² : 2 m²)
    • 1 electrical box 3 KW intermittent
    • 1 spotlight for 3 sqm
    • Furniture credit

    If you select the equipment, the bare surface will be automatically added during the calculation. The price of the equipment is in addition to the bare surface.

    Beyond 24 m², the stands are in bare surface.

    This stand option does not include any services:

    Your stand is delivered as follows:

    • A tracing on the ground determines your location
    • The fitting out and equipment of your stand remain at your charge
